Most exporters will tell you it is easy. It is not, and the difficult part is usually not the buying — it is the shipping and customs after. Here is how it actually works.
Shipping is priced per container, not per car. A single vehicle sent alone costs more than three shipped together. We will tell you honestly whether your quantity makes this viable.
Typical China to West Africa transit is 30–40 days by sea. Add 7–15 days to prepare, declare and load, and 3–7 days for destination clearance — so roughly 40–55 days from payment to a vehicle you can pick up. Air freight exists but costs several times more and is only sensible for low-value cars.
Your local customs will charge duty and import tax on arrival. Rates differ by country and by vehicle age — we cannot quote your country's duty, but we will tell you exactly what documents your clearing agent needs.
Clearing customs, paying port charges and moving the car inland are done by a local agent at destination. Budget for this or the car can sit at the port accruing charges.
We would rather lose the enquiry than take your money and disappear. If a single car does not make economic sense, we will say so.
Model, year, budget, and the country and city it needs to reach. WhatsApp is easiest — just send a message.
We will tell you honestly. Sometimes the answer is that you should buy through a local dealer instead, and we will point you at that option.
Photographs, OBD scan, paint thickness, panel readings, interior wear, engine and transmission notes. Nothing is rounded in our favour.
Export documents and export documents issued. We need a nominated clearing agent at destination before loading.
Original bill of lading couriered to you. Your local agent clears the container. We stay reachable through the process.
We have people and partners on the ground in the markets below. We prepare every export document ourselves and work alongside your clearing agent so nothing is missing at the port.
Our own stores and partners operate in these countries. If your destination is not listed, ask us — the list is growing.
Saudi Arabia sets a maximum vehicle age for import, and vehicles below that threshold can clear without a waiting period. Our showroom cars sit comfortably inside that limit, so there is no holding period on our stock.
Confirm the current rule for your specific vehicle and year with us before you commit.
Some countries require certification before a vehicle may be imported. Where we can handle it, we handle it — and we have done it.
We prepare and file the certification documents required in your destination market, so the vehicle does not sit at the port waiting for paperwork. Tell us the destination country and we will tell you exactly which certificates apply and what we can obtain on our side.
If a certificate cannot be obtained for a specific vehicle, we tell you before you pay — not after it has arrived.
We assist with EAC conformity certification. Without it a vehicle cannot be registered in Russia, Belarus or Kazakhstan. Tell us your destination and model and we will say straight away whether it can be covered, and how long it takes.
Toyota Camry, Honda Accord, Corolla. Common parts, comfortable, and with odometers from 100 km they are effectively new by local standards.
Hilux, Fortuner, similar. Strong resale demand in West Africa. Fewer units per container, so freight per car is higher.
Chinese EVs are cheap to ship but need charging infrastructure and service parts that most African markets do not have yet. Advice here is honest even when it costs us a sale.
